Basic Information:

Veronica Andreea is a 27 year-old Romanian girl from Baia Mare, a city in the north of Romania. She graduated with a vocational school degree. She is currently working in a restaurant in England but she will soon be unemployed because the business will soon go bankrupt.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children, she loves travelling and visiting museums, but she also wants to improve her English skills and make new friends. She would like to be placed in a village because she likes quiet places (she used to visit her grandmother every year in a village in Romania).

Veronica Andreea likes to walk, to take as much exercise as possible, to watch documentaries and to read.

She smokes occasionally but plans to quit when she comes to the UK. In any case she is happy only to smoke away from the house and the children.

Childcare Experience:

Veronica Andreea has experience with children. She worked for more than a year in France as a volunteer. There she took care of children with disabilities. In Romania she took care of her cousin's daughter (she took care of the girl since she was born and until she was 3 years old). She was also taking care of her neighbour's daughter. She started to take care of the girl 3 years ago. She liked to take the girl for long walks, to help her with her homework; she was picking her up from school and spent time with her until her parents came home from work. She was also cleaning the house and cooking dinner for the family. Veronica was paid for this job. She sees coming as an au pair as an opportunity to improve her English skills and to visit different cultural places. She worked as an au pair in England for 3 months and looked after 4 children. She left the family because she tried to find a job next to where her boyfriend lived.

English Skills:

Her English was good and there were only one or two occasions when I had to repeat the question in order for her to understand it.

Housework:

Veronica Andreea is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), ironing, cooking for children and for the family, driving and caring for pets.

Character:

Veronica Andreea considers herself as sociable, funny, neat and tidy, polite, hard-working and disciplined. She thinks that sometimes she gets involved too much with her job so that she forgets about her friends.

Driving:

Veronica Andreea has her driving licence since 2005 and she is driving every day.

Family:

She lives in a village near London in a rented room. Her Father is 56 years old and works in a factory. Her sister is 32 years old and works as an economist.
