Basic Information:

Simona is is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Slatina, a city in the south of Romania. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 2008, but hasn't taken her diploma yet because she still has her final exam to do. She is currently unemployed.

She wants to be an au pair because she wants to try something new, to know new people and make new friends. She also likes children and wants to visit the UK. She wants to improve her English because she knows she still has a lot to learn. She would like to be placed in a town or a village because she likes quieter places.

Simona likes reading, listening to music, going to the cinema and to the theatre. She also likes practicing sports like: cycling, aerobics, tennis and mountaineering. She likes reading adventure books before going to bed.

She smokes occasionally (only if her friends are smoking and only when she goes out).

Childcare Experience:

Simona took care of her nephew, Adrian, when his parents were away or working. Her nephew is 8 years old. He lives in the same town as Simona so his parents used to drop him off at Simona's place quite often. She helped him with his homework, cooked simple meals for him and after that they played. She also looked after her brother when they were younger and their parents were working. She had to make sure he came back from school on time, ate something and then completed his homework. She doesn't have any preference regarding children's ages and thinks she can look after children of any age.

English Skills:

Her English is good - she studied it for 8 years.

Housework:

Simona is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for children or older children, washing, ironing, caring for pets, gardening, handiwork, cooking for children and for family.

Character:

Simona thinks that she is a kind person, a good listener and sociable. Her motto is "believe in you".

Eating Habits:

Simona likes eating fish, chicken, chips, vegetables and fruits. She doesn't like pork and meatballs. She is allergic to mayonnaise and eggs.

Driving:

Simona has not passed her driving test.

Family:

She lives with her Mother and her Father. Her Mum is 54 years old and is retired (she was an English teacher). Her Father is 53 and is a worker at a construction site. She has a brother who is 20 years old and is a student at the University of Craiova.
