Simona is a 23 year-old Romanian girl from the city of Oradea. She attended university of Oradea and graduated with a degree in Fashion Design last year. She has struggled to find a job since and has she has always dreamed of living in the UK, she thinks coming to the UK and working as an au pair would be a good idea.
Simona would like to be placed close to London but would be happy to go to a provincial town or city within easy reach.
She enjoys fashion (drawing/designing), reading. She is a non-swimmer. She likes to go to the theatre to see plays or comedies, listening to music, cinema, walking in the park. Having get togethers with her friends - playing cards and talking.
She is a non smoker.
Simona has been taking care of her cousin's son Ronaldo who is now 12 years old. She has been doing this for many years. Helping him with homework, taking him to school, baking cakes & cookies with him, playing games, doing sports activities with him like football and helping him with his karate. She was doing this from the time she graduated high school at 18 - she used to do this 3 or 4 times per week. She still goes round to be with him but now only once a week. Simona was also paid to baby-sit for a 9 year old girl called Julia every day when her Mum needed help when she was working (4 or 5 hours per day), from January until March last year. She bought groceries for the house and also did housework. Simona worked in Spain for a few months last year ironing and cleaning for a household.
Her English is good. We had a pretty fluid conversation and she expressed herself well.
Her Mother tongue is Romanian.
Simona is prepared to care for children, older children, disabled children, elderly, undertake light housework (tidying /vacuuming /dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), washing, ironing, cooking for children and family. She is used to doing the housework at home with her Father - he tends to cook the meals.
Simona thinks that she is a serious person and treats people with respect. She is very friendly, patient person and very organized.
Simona enjoys most food. She doesn't drink coffee - preferring fruit tea. Typical breakfast - bread & butter with ham or an egg. Soup for lunch and Romanian cuisine for dinner.
Simona has not passed her driving test.
Her Mother and Father separated when she was 3 years old. Her Father works in marketing/PR for a construction firm. She has lived with her Father in a flat on the outskirts of Oradea along with her older sister since this time. Her sister is now living in Spain where she moved 4 years ago.
