She worked with a French organisation in different spring and summer camps (between 2001 and 2005). Every year she worked with a different group of French people and they went to different places. She first worked as a translator and later she started to do the same things the French animators did: playing with the children, organising their schedule, organise the schedule for the following week. They had daily activities that encouraged children to do new and interesting things (they taught them not only to take pictures, but also to develop them). They did this for one week in each location and they usually stayed in schools and kindergartens. When she was younger, she also looked after 2 girls of her neighbour. They usually spent time together while their parents were away and most of the times they played or organised different activities.
Silvia’s English is fluent (she has Advanced English Certificate) and doesn’t have any problems expressing herself.
Her native language is Romanian. She also speaks French (advanced – she was a translator), Italian and Spanish (medium level) and Hungarian (beginner).
Silvia is prepared to care for babies, children and children with disabilities, to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), ironing, shopping (food/groceries), cooking for children and caring for pets.
Silvia describes herself as easy going, open minded, sociable. She likes that she gets involved in something to always try to give the best of her. She said that something important about her is that she always smiles.
Silvia doesn’t have a favorite food. She doesn’t like pumpkins.
Silvia has not passed her driving test.
She lives with her Mother and her Father. Her Mum is 49 years old and works as a water engineer. Her Father is 55 years old and works as an art teacher.
