Paula is 23 year-old Romanian girl from Salonta, a town in the western part of Romania. She graduated last year from the Faculty of Social Humanistic Science, being specialised in Pedagogy of pre-school and primary school education. She is a qualified teacher for children aged between 3 and 12 years old. She is unemployed.
She would like to be an au pair because she is qualified to look after children and would like to gain some more experience. Being an au pair will give her the chance to spend a lot of time with children and will be a good experience for her future. She would also like to improve her English by attending English classes. She has no preferences regarding children's age or location. She is available as soon as possible and would like to be an au pair for longer than one year. She would like to meet in UK a warm-hearted family who would consider her a member of their family.
Paula likes drawing/painting, socialising with friends, listening to music, dancing, pets, walking, surfing the web and going to the cinema.
She is a non smoker.
Paula is a qualified teacher and said that she was trained to face any situation; she likes observing children's behavior and try, by pedagogical methods, to change their bad behavior. During University she had practice for 3 years as a teacher in primary school and in a kindergarten where she looked after children aged between 3 and 6 years old. Last year she worked during the summer holiday as a babysitter for a 4 year old boy. She had to spend most of the day with him, cook for him, play with him, put him to bed at lunch, etc. She also babysits for many of her friends who have children and need someone when they go out over night. she said that at picnics, she is always in charge of all children from her group.
Her English is fair (she studied it for 3 years). Her Mother tongue is Romanian.
Paula is prepared to care for babies, children, older children, children with disabilities, perform light housework, shopping (Food, Groceries), washing, ironing, gardening, driving, caring for pets, cooking for children and for the family. She lives in an apartment with her friend, so she is used doing household chores.
Paula considers that she is sociable, funny, neat and tidy, caring, warm hearted, uses initiative, responsible, polite and hard working.
Paula eats almost everything; she says she is not picky.
Paula passed her driving test in 2005 and she drives daily. She has a driving license for the following categories: A, B, C and E. She drove different type of cars, but more often a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Seat Ibiza. She drove cars with manual and automatic gear box. She thinks she would be a good driver in the UK too.
Her parents are both retired (Mum - 41, dad - 47 years old) and live one mile away from a town. They have their own farm, specialised in cow; they sell milk. They also have dogs, cats, pigs and horses. She has a younger sister who is 13 years old and is still at high school.
