Basic Information:

Ovidiu is a 22 year-old Romanian man from Bistrita in the north of Romania. He graduated (in 2008) from the Faculty of Economics specialising in Tourism. He has worked as an agent for 3 months, but he didn't enjoy it and resigned.

Ovidiu likes travelling, being in the nature and cats. He doesn't like the sea, he prefers mountains. He also likes music, playing football (but not watching it) and watching movies (psychological movies).

He smokes, but commits not to smoke inside or in front of the children.

Childcare Experience:

As well as university, Ovidiu has some work experience. When he was 17 years old he started to work as a waiter (usually at the weekends) and has continued throughout university and still works in this capacity today. When he was younger, Ovidiu worked for two consecutive summers helping the people that were constructing a road in his Grandparent's village. Because he was young, it wasn't a full-time job, but helped all the workers and learnt a lot of different things. He has some experience with children. His girlfriend has a 2 year old brother and he likes spending time with him. He doesn't spend too much time alone with him away from home, but likes playing with him and taking him to the park. He also has many cousins and nephews. Together with his sister, Adela, they spent time looking after them because they were the older ones. He has experience with animals from helping his Grandparents with their animals: sheep, cows, chicken, geese, etc. He did this during the summer and is quite used to this type of job.

English Skills:

His English is good and he can speak about any subject.

Housework:

Ovidiu is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/vacuuming/dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for children and older children, gardening, handiwork and caring for pets.

Character:

Ovidiu considers that he is curious and likes taking apart anything that has different mechanisms and then putting it back together to see how it works. He likes to try different things. His friends would say about him that he is smart, a good listener and offers good advice.

Eating Habits:

Ovidiu has some preferences regarding food: he doesn't eat tomatoes, eggs, cabbage. He likes French fries and would eat them daily. He said he would eat something even if he doesn't like it, but he would like to cook something for himself.

Driving:

Ovidiu passed his driving test and drives daily.

Family:

He lives in Bistrita with his parents. His parents work in a hotel - his Mum works as a chef and his Father is a buyer for food and other things for the hotel. His sister is an au pair in the UK (placed by us).
