Nicoleta S - 25 years old    

Basic Information:

Nicoleta is a 25 year-old Romanian girl from the city of Oradea. She graduated with a degree in Environmental Geography two years ago. Since then she worked for a while in Customer Care in Spanish & English, she also worked for 9 months in a women's clothing store. She then went to Germany for 5 months working in a food processing plant that made meat/ham products.

Nicoleta has no preference for location - she likes the countryside but for her the family is the most important. She wants to improve her English and to find a nice host family to live with.

She enjoys sports activities, reading, and music - but doesn't like going to discos. She enjoys walking in the park and visiting her friends.

She is a non-smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Nicoleta has experience of looking after children in her own family. Her cousins were from 3 years old. When she was young she lived in a village and her Uncle went to work in Austria so she helped her Auntie for a time caring for her younger cousins. She went to High School in Timisoara and lived with her Aunt/Uncle for 5 years while she was studying there. Recently she stayed with relatives in Timisoara and again helped with her cousins. Since getting back from Germany she has been going to Sunday school each week and teaches songs to the children. She also did this when she was at High School in Timisoara. She also does some other activities with the children at the Sunday school.

Language Skills:

Her English is fair/good. We had a reasonably good conversation about all things. She speaks very good Spanish - she studied there for her Environmental Geography degree for one year.

Housework:

Nicoleta is prepared to care for children, to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), washing, ironing, shopping (food/groceries), cooking for children and caring for pets.

Character:

Nicoleta friend's would say she is sincere, a good friend and a good listener and supportive. She feels she is quite a timid person when she doesn't know people so well - but is open with other people who are open to her. She thinks she is more of a pessimistic person. She is used to adapting to new situations - when she was in Germany she shared a room with 5 people.

Eating Habits:

Nicoleta eats all types of food. She tries to eat healthy food and not fast food. For breakfast she has cereal, lunch and dinner is depends on but most Romanian dishes. She enjoyed German food.

Driving:

Nicoleta has not passed her driving test. She has poor eyesight and has been told she would need glasses to be able to drive.

Family:

Nicoleta lives with her family in Oradea in a house. She has two younger brothers 20 and 24. Her Mother works as a cook in a home for abandoned children and her Father works in the building industry.
