Basic Information:

Marieta is a 36 year-old Romanian woman from Oradea, a city in the western part of Romania. She graduated the Power Engineering Faculty in 2005. She worked for 7 years as a clerk for the Romanian state. She is currently unemployed.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes looking after children and because she wants to visit England. She also wants to improve her English because this will help her in the future.

Marieta likes playing tennis with her friends every week. She also likes volleyball, ice skating, reading (Christian books), listening to music (classic music). She also goes to church twice a week. She doesn't mind if there is no orthodox church around her.

She is a non-smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Marieta helped her Sister when she gave birth in 2005. She lived there for 2 years and a half. Marieta moved there because her sister gave birth to twins and she had to go to work quickly. She was a real help for her because her sister had to work the land too and Marieta spent a lot of time with the girls. She had to take the girls to the kindergarten, to feed them and to play with them. In the evening she washed them and prepared the girls for bed. She For the first 5 months she was the only one who was looking after the girls, but after that she got a job and they hired a nanny. She thinks that she is prepared to look after babies, but wouldn't say 'no' to looking after older children.

English Skills:

Her English is basic and I had to repeat her some questions in order for her to understand them.

Housework:

Marieta is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for babies, children , washing, ironing, cooking for children, caring for pets and driving.

Character:

Marieta considers that she is sociable, tidy, happy, disciplined. She likes to persevere and keeps trying until she manages to achieve what she wants.

Eating Habits:

Marieta likes eating vegetables, fruits, soups and chicken food. She is open minded and would like to try new types of food.

Driving:

Marieta has passed her driving test in 1992, but drives few times a year. She would like to drive in the UK, but needs some driving lessons before driving the car alone here.

Family:

She lives in Oradea by herself. Her Mother lives in a nearby village. She is 65 years old and is retired.
