Basic Information:

Loredana is a 23 year-old Romanian girl from Bucuresti. She graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Banking. She is a distance learning student at the Faculty of Psychology. She doesn’t have to go for exams because she can take her exams online. She is unemployed.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children and looked after two children daily. She liked the experience and would like to see how children are brought up in the UK. She has no preferences regarding the location.

Loredana enjoys reading, listening to music, dancing, cooking, walking and surfing the web. She likes travelling – she likes going to the seaside during the summer. She practiced sports dances at a professional level, but quit because she felt disappointed by the way things were organised.

She smokes, but committed not to smoke in front of the children or in and around the house.

Childcare Experience:

Loredana looked after some neighbour’s children starting 5 years ago. The girl, Mariam, was 2 months and the boy, Najdat, was 6 years old. She took care of the kids daily during for 6 months. After that, they still kept in touch and she looked occasionally after the children until the Mariam was 5 years old. She had no problems looking after the baby and she enjoyed the experience. She prepared the milk for the baby, cooked for the boy, washed them and took them for walks in the park. She has no preferences regarding children’s age, but would feel more confident looking after younger children as she has experience with children at that age.

English Skills:

Loredana's English was fair/good. She needed help with translating some words that she didn't know.
