Laura is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Timisoara a city in the western part of Romania. She graduated from the University of Horticulture and has a Masters degree in Landscaping (2008). She likes gardening and has a small garden that she takes care of. She sells metallic tiles (she works here for one year).

She wants to be an au pair because she visited London last year and really liked the country and people. Her boyfriend lives in East London; she would like to be placed somewhere close to him, but not necessarily. She also wants to improve her English because she would like to stay here a long period of time.

She likes travelling and has been to Spain, Germany (she worked in bars) and UK (London). She likes driving, walking, reading.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Laura's brother has a 9 months baby. His brother brings him almost every weekend to their house. She recently learnt how to change nappies. She doesn't spend too much time with the baby, usually once or twice a week. She would prefer working with older children as she doesn't have experience with young children.

Language Skills:

Laura's English is fair/good.

Housework:

Laura is prepared to care for children or disabled children, to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), washing, ironing, cooking for children and driving.

Character:

Laura describes herself as sociable (she thinks she quickly integrates any group), loyal and punctual.

Eating Habits:

Laura eats almost everything; she tried different food when she was in Spain and she liked it. She is willing to try other type of food.

Driving:

Laura has passed her driving test and drives daily her father's car (Dacia Logan). She wants to drive in England, but would like 2 or driving lessons to get used to driving on the other side of the road.

Family:

She has a brother who is 5 years older than her and he lives in a block. Her parents are retired now but her father used to be teacher specialized in the wood industry in the High School she graduated; her mother was housewife, before she was a sale agent in different stores. She still living with her parents. They used to live in a house but until a few time ago their live in a bloc.
