Basic Information:

Ioana is a 23 year-old girl from the village of Ieud, in the northern part of Romania. She graduated from the Faculty of Languages in 2009, being specialised in Romanian and English. She is unemployed.

She worked as a babysitter for 3 families in Italy. She wants to be an Au Pair because she likes children and likes being around them. She wants to know England and to have the chance to visit the country. She also has a brother living here for 7 years. Long term plans: she would like in 2 or 3 years to study for a Masters Degree.

Ioana likes listening to music, cooking (especially Italian and Romanian food, but also cookies), going to the cinema, walking in the park and different sports (like: running, football, volleyball and aerobics). She has no preference about the location.

Childcare Experience:

Ioana worked as a babysitter in Italy for 3 families. She started babysitting in Italy 4 years ago for a family who had a 4 year-old boy. She worked with that family for 6 months (4 years ago) and then for other 6 months (last year when the family returned to Romania). She also worked for a family who had 2 girls: 10 and 4 years old. She worked with them during the summer holiday (while she was in university). Last year the family moved back to Romania and she looked after the girls in the village too. She also looked after a 3 year-old boy in Italy (during the summer holiday). She had same duties with all children: cook for them, wash them, take them in the park, play with them, etc. She has no preferences regarding children’s age.

English Skills:

Her English is good; she studied it for 9 years.

Her Mother tongue is Romanian. She also speaks Spanish (medium) and Italian (advanced).

Housework:

Ioana is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for babies, children or older children, washing, ironing, gardening, cooking for children and for the family.
