Ioana C- 22 years old    

Basic Information:

Ioana is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Baia Mare. She studies ofr her Masters in Law (first year). As her husband, she wants to quit school for at least one year and to try to get a job in England. She works for a transport company, but doesn't have to stay for the 2 weeks notice period. Both of them are available as soon as possible.

Ioana wants to come to the UK because she thinks that they are still young and they should try to do something for their future now. She thinks that living in Romania is not an option for them anymore and she wants to leave now especially that they don't have children now and they want to have more things to offer to the baby when they'll decide to have one.

Ioana likes reading, socialising with friends, cooking and going to the theatre. She also enjoys visiting her parents during the weekend.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Ioana is in the same team that visits orphanages as her husband. They've been visiting orphanages from Romania for 6 years and from Moldova for 4 years. She started looking after children when she was 14 years old - at the Sunday school. She also worked with an organization (Activ) and they visited orphanages for children with social behavior problems. She said that she knows how to keep a house; she enjoys cooking and keeping her house clean, so this position is not going to be hard for her.

English Skills:

Her English is good. Some phrases needed to be explained to her but generally she understood most of the questions and topics we discussed during the interview straight away.

Other languages:

Her native language is Romanian Ioana also speaks French (medium) and Spanish (beginner).

Housework:

Ioana is prepared to care for children and older children, undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), washing, shopping (Food, Groceries), cooking for children, gardening, driving, caring for pets and cooking for family.

Character:

Ioana considers that she is open minded, easy adaptable, persevere, warm hearted, responsible and polite.

Driving:

Ioana passed her driving test in September 2008. She drives 3 or 4 times a week their car, an Opel Agila.

Eating:

She likes eating soups, fruits, salads, etc. She prefers eating meat rarely, but she has no problems in eating what the host family eats.

Family:

She lives with her husband in a rented apartment in Baia Mare. She has 2 sisters who are 25 and 21 years old.
