Basic Information:

Gabriela is a 27 year-old girl from Focsani, a city in the eastern part of Romania. She graduated Economic High- school in her city. She is currently studying at the Anglican Open University (part time) and is her third year.

She worked as an Au Pair in Scotland for the last 5 years and now she wants to be one in England. She likes children a lot and thinks that this job suits her best. She is also registered as a child minder. She would like to be placed in a city – preferably London, but not necessarily.

Gabriela likes jogging, surfing the web, listening to music and going to the cinema and theatre. She also enjoys socialising with friends on Sundays.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Gabriela worked as an au pair for 2 families. With the first family, she worked for 1 year and then they moved to a different location. There she looked after 2 girls (Sophia - 9 months and Jasmine - 2 and a half). She had all the regular duties as an pair. After this family, she worked for a different family. Here she looks after a boy who is 2 and a half years and a girl who is 7 months. She started working there in 2006 and wants to move on and to live with a new family. Even though she has a good relation with them, she doesn’t like the fact that they ask her to work extremely much. She usually plays with them, cook for them, take them to different activities, etc. She has no preferences regarding children’s age.

English Skills:

Her English is fluent; she has been living in Scotland for nearly 5 years.

Her Mother tongue is Romanian. She also speaks Spanish (advanced) and French (beginner).

Housework:

Gabriela is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for babies, children or older children, washing, ironing and cooking for children.

Gabriela considers that she is sociable, hard working, caring, warm hearted, talkative, flexible, responsible and polite.

Eating:

Gabriela’s favorite food is Lasagna. She doesn’t like pork or spicy food.

Driving:

Gabriela has not passed her driving test.

Family:

She has been living with her host family for almost 4 years. Her Father is 54 years old and is retired. She has 4 siblings: 2 brothers (26 & 31 years old) and 2 sisters (29 and 39 years old). Her younger brother works in Glasgow too.
