Gabriela is a 21 year-old Romanian girl from the city of Timisoara. She is currently studying Romanian & English Literature & Grammar at university and is just finishing her 2nd year.

Gabriela has no preference for location. She can be placed from July 1st as she has exams in June. After this she can stay until |Christmas at the latest.

She likes to read, listen to music, read & write poetry. She prefers the outdoors and is not a fan of TV, preferring to go for walks.

She is a non-smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Gabriela has a younger brother who is 6 years her junior. When they were growing up she was often left in charge and supervised him each day while their Mother was still at work. She also looked after one of her neighbour's children, She is a 4 year old girl, and Gabriela looks after her in the mid-late afternoons when her Mum is at work. She does this 2 or 3 times every week for 2 - 3 hours each time and has been doing this over the last six months. When she was 17 years old she also worked for 3 months in the spring and early summer at a kindergarten. She was helping with play activities for children aged 3 - 6 years old. Gabriela has also baby-sat for other friends who have children. Sometimes she stays with the sister of her best friend - this girl is 14 and Gabriela has been tutoring her in Romanian and a little English to help her with examinations.

Language Skills:

Her English is good. We had a good conversation and she understood everything well. She studies English at degree level. She also speaks intermediate German.

Housework:

Gabriela has lived by herself for 4 years and has experience managing her apartment. She is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying /vacuuming /dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), washing, ironing, cooking for children and caring for pets.

Character:

Gabriela's friends would say that she is kind and that she puts others ahead of herself, she is patient and able to work under pressure without getting annoyed and is hard working. She likes to be seen to be doing something correctly. Her biggest weakness is that sometimes she puts her foot in her mouth and speaks the truth too quickly with her friends.

Eating Habits:

Gabriela enjoys most food and is used to cooking all different sorts of meals. As she lives by herself then she tends to eat simple meals that are quick to prepare such as egg & chips in the week, but at the weekend will make soups and other more longer recipes. She doesn't like lamb. She really enjoys spicy food and used Tabasco and chilies with some of her dishes.

Driving:

Gabriela will take her driving test at the end of May. She only has 14 hours tuition so far but is a confident driver and would like to drive in the UK. She drives an Opel Astra.

Family:

Her parents are separated. Her Father has lived in Spain for the last 8 years and works in construction. Her Mother works as a cook in a bakery in Germany, and has been there for 4 years. Gabriela travels to see her Mum 4 times year. She has two older brothers (one is married with a child) and a younger brother who is 15 years old.
