Emanuela is a 25 year-old Romanian girl from Botosani, a town in the north-east of Romania. She graduated the Faculty of Geography specialising in Geography and English in 2007. She hasn't taken her diploma because she still has her final exam to do. She worked during the university and because she had to work many hours, she didn't have time to prepare her licence. She is unemployed now.

She wants to be an au pair because she says she is a very sociable girl who likes children and animals. She likes the idea of teaching something new to a child because this might be useful for the child one day.

Emanuela likes playing sport (aerobics, basketball, volleyball, tennis and ice skating). She also likes surfing the web, listening to music, walking in the park and socialising with friends.

She is a social smoker (she wouldn't smoke in front of the children or inside).

Childcare Experience:

When she was a student she went back home and looked after a neighbor's daughter and after a relative's son. The girl, Monica, was 1 year and 8 months when Emanuela started to take care of her. She spent even 12 hours a day with the girl -when Monica's Mum was busy or working. She took care of her even this summer (she is 5 years old now) and they made a scarecrow and different faces from pumpkins. The boy, Edi, was 2 years old and liked cars a lot. They spent a lot of time playing with the cars. She was going to their apartment because they had their toys there, they were sleeping at lunch and they liked sleeping in their beds. She likes giving little tasks to children so that they can learn something new each time they are doing something. She thinks is very important to always invent new things to keep children busy because they get bored easily.

English Skills:

Her English was good and she has no problems communicating and saying what she thinks or feels.

Housework:

Emanuela is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for babies, children or older children, washing, ironing, cooking for children, handiwork and caring for pets.

Character:

Emanuela considers herself sociable, calm, meticulous, neat and tidy, independent, motivated, responsible and hard working.

Eating Habits:

Emanuela doesn't like fats; she likes eating vegetables, fruits and doesn't like to eat out. Usually her last meal is at 5 o'clock.

Driving:

Emanuela has passed her driving test in 2005. She drives twice a week and has her own car (a Renault Scenic). She drove all the way from Botosani to Cluj Napoca (approximately 236 miles).

Family:

She lives in Botosani with her family. Her Mum (52 years old) works as an accountant, her Father (53 years old) is a security guard and her Brother (20 years old) is a student.
