Costin B - 25 years old    

Basic Information:

Costin is a 25 year-old Romanian man from Ploiesti in the south of Romania. He moved to Braila when he was young and after that to Cluj Napoca where he went to University. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 2008 specialising in General Electronics.

He has worked as an engineer for 3 months and after that opened his own business, but has decided to cease trading this year.

Costin practices dance sport and has won 3rd place in a national contest organised in Romania. He likes dancing, listening to music and practising different sports: jogging, cycling, running, ping pong and football. He likes to learn new things – he is currently studying reiki (energetic healing).

He was a smoker, but quit and is not smoking any more.

Childcare Experience:

Costin has some experience with children. He said he likes spending quality time with children because they disconnect him from all problems he might have. Together with a friend he taught dance classes to children aged between 3 and 5 year-old in a private kindergarten. He did this for 3 months and really enjoyed it He also took care of his younger sister (she is 8 years old now). During the summer holidays he spent a lot of time with her and looked after her when his Mum was working. He didn’t have to cook for her because their Grandmother was cooking for them. Most of the time he played with her and helped her with Mathematics. He has some experience with animals because he spent some of his summer holidays at his Grandmothers (before he went to University). She had pigs, chickens and geese and he used to feed them and clean up after them. He would be prepared to work in construction after 1 year, but it depends on what job he will have to fulfil.

English Skills:

His English is good and we had an interesting conversation.

Housework:

Costin is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/vacuuming/dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for children and older children, cooking for children and for the family, gardening, handiwork and caring for pets.

Character:

Costin considers that he is curious and always wants to learn different things. He thinks he is patient, funny, friendly, warm hearted, positive attitude and polite.

Eating habits:

Costin tries to eat meat as rarely as possible and, in time, he hopes he will become a vegetarian.

Driving:

Costin passed his driving test in 2006, but drives only a few times a year because he doesn’t have his own car.

Family:

He lives in Cluj Napoca in an apartment with some friends. His parents are divorced and they both live in Braila.
