Carmel is a 24 year-old Romanian boy from Baia Mare, a town in the north of Romania. He studies for his Masters degree in Law (first year). He wants to stop his studies and come to the UK. He is unemployed. He tried to open his own business in advertising, but he went bankrupt because of the current economical climate
He wants to come to England first of all because he wants to try something new. He said he can't afford to live in Romania anymore and he wants to start a new life in England. He wants to get to know a different culture and how other people think. He also wants to offer his family a better future.
He has no preference regarding the location he is placed. He would like to stay in the UK for at least one year.

They are a team of 10 people and they visit many orphanages (usually during the weekend). In Moldova, they usually go for 2 months - during one month they have a summer camp where orphans visit them and they can spend one week there. When he was younger he used to visit his grandparent at the countryside, so he is used with different outdoor chores and thinks he won't have any problems adapting to living in the UK.
