Bianca D - 21 years old    

Basic Information:

Bianca is a 21 year-old Romanian girl from Bucuresti, the capital of Romania. She is a student in the second year at the University of Foreign Languages (specialised in English and Italian). She has been working as an office manager for a law company for 9 months. She received a private scholarship from the company to work for them and they paid her University. Her contract will finish in February and she will be available since then.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children and thinks that this is an interesting experience. She wants to improve her English and to try to participate to different courses if possible. She was in Holland after she finished high school. She went there because she thought this would be an interesting experience for her. She would like to be placed in a city or a town.

Bianca enjoys travelling, playing tennis, bowling and walking. She also enjoys listening to music, reading, socialising with friends, surfing the web and drawing or painting.

She smokes occasionally, but committed not to smoke in front of the children or in and around the house.

Childcare Experience:

Bianca looked after a 7 year old girl called Loredana. She was the daughter of one of Bianca’s colleagues. When her Mum had to go in delegations, she left the girl with Bianca to look after her. She usually looked after her starting from 2-3 days/ week up to one week per month. She helped the girl with the homework and played with her. She liked to play different games from which the girl could learn something useful (for example games to learn the alphabet). She also looked after her cousin. She started to look after him when her cousin was 2 years old until he was 5 years old. She did this during the summer holidays when his Mother was at work. She spent all day looking after him for one month every summer. She had to change his nappies, to feed him and play with him.

English Skills:

Bianca’s English was very good. She has studied it for 10 years and would like to attend English classes in the UK to improve it.

Other languages:

Her native language is Romanian. She also speaks Spanish and Italian at a medium level and French at a beginner level.

Housework:

Bianca is prepared to care for children, older children or disabled children, undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (food/groceries), washing, ironing and cooking for children.

Character:

Bianca describes herself as responsible, honest, reliable, hard working, independent, uses initiative, motivated and polite. She thinks that she is perfectionist and will try to do her best to achieve what she has to do.

Eating Preferences:

Bianca likes eating most things. She doesn’t like fish, seafood and spicy food.

Driving:

Bianca not passed her driving test.

Family:

She lives with her Mother and her Father. Her Mum is 47 years old and works as a librarian. Her Father is 48 years old and works for the Romanian army.
