Basic Information:

Bianca is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Bacova, a small village (500 people) in the western part of Romania. It is only a very short distance from the city of Timisoara, She graduated from the Faculty of Geography & Tourism in 2009 but is currently unemployed.

She wants to be an au pair because she’s experienced with children and is open minded about the opportunity. She prefers to be placed in a village location and is looking to come for 2 years.

Bianca enjoys listening to music, the internet, pets/animals, playing sports (she still practices long distance running and in school used to participate in competitive athletics), she also likes mountaineering, cycling, gym and badminton. She also said that being with little children was a favourite hobby.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Bianca has a lot of experience working with children as an animator (hostess) at McDonalds restaurant. 10 or 12 children would come for parties every day for celebrations and to have birthday parties. She used to sing songs, do face painting and put on other activities for the children. She used to cater for about 6 separate parties every day. She worked for 6 hours per day between 3pm and 9pm for 5 days a week. The children were aged from 2 years old up to 12 years old. Bianca does prefer working with the younger children because she said they were most open to doing activities. The older children would just want to play on their own mobile phones! Bianca did this for 18 months while at university.

English Skills:

Bianca has studied English for 5 years and she understood most things that I was asking her. Her English was fair. As the interview progressed and she found her ear she became more confident, lively and her English seemed to improve.

Housework:

Bianca is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for babies and children up to the age of 10 and caring for pets.

Character:

Bianca considers that she is sociable, hard working, likes to socialise with others. Ambitious, flexible open-minded, organized and neat & tidy. She feels she is fairly sensitive when she sees people treating things unfairly like animals.

Eating Preferences:

Bianca eats a balanced diet and doesn’t think that adapting to what the family eats will be a problem.

Driving:

Bianca has not passed her driving test.

Family:

She lives in a house with her Mother (43) and her Father (51). Her siblings have moved out of the family home. Her sister (25) is a manager at McDonalds in Timisoara and her brother (23) works as a crew member. Her Mum is a housewife and her Dad is an engineer for an Austrian company. She has a dog and cats at home.
