Alexandra is a 22 year-old girl from the county of Prahova, Romania. She graduated this year from the University of Informatics in Bucharest. During University she worked part time as a phone sales agent (she works now full time).

She wants to be an au pair because she wants to try something new and doesn't want to keep working in the call centre. She thinks that the au pair program offers her the chance to improve her English and to get to know how English people live and their traditions.

Alexandra likes sports (she goes 2 or 3 times a week to gym). She also likes watching movies, socialising with friends, reading and visiting different places.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

: She has a brother who is 4 years younger than her; because her Mum worked long hours, she looked after him, helped him with his homework and cooked easy meals for him. She thinks this experience helped her a lot because she spent many hours looking after her brother and she learned many useful things. She also babysat for different friends and cousins (but this was usually for some hours during the day or in the evening).

Language Skills:

Her English is very good and we had an interesting conversation. Her Mother tongue is Romanian. She also speaks French (basic).

Housework:

Alexandra is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), children, older or disabled children, washing, ironing, gardening, handiwork, driving, caring for pets, cooking for children and for the family.

Character:

Alexandra considers that she is ambitious, neat and tidy, flexible, independent, funny, active and organizer.

Eating Habits:

Alexandra eats most things, but she tries to eat healthy. She couldn't name a type of food she doesn't like eating.

Driving:

Alexandra has passed her driving test in April 2009. She drives 2 or 3 times a month. She doesn't drive more often because she doesn't have her own car and only drives her parent's car (Dacia) when she goes home.

Family:

She lives in a rented apartment in Bucharest, together with her 3 colleagues from University. Her parents live in Prahova together with her 17 year old brother.
