Basic Information:

Alexandra is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Timisoara, a city in the south-west of Romania. She finished Sociology and Social Work University- Anthropology department-but she will try to get her bachelors degree in 2010

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children, she loves travelling and meeting new cultures. She would like to be placed in London because she has a lot of friends there.

She smokes occasionally but plans to quit when she comes to the UK. In any case she is happy only to smoke away from the house and the children.

Childcare Experience:

Alexandra has experience with children. She worked in Romania for three months in a job which is very similar to that of an au pair. She took care of a 2 year old boy. She used to do all the duties that an au pair should do: waking up and dressing the boy, taking him for a walk, inventing different games to entertain him. Alexandra was paid for this job and she lived for one month with the family. She sees coming as an au pair as an opportunity to visit different cultural places and to know more about life in London.

English Skills:

Her English was very good and our conversation was flowing.

Housework:

Alexandra is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), washing, ironing, cooking for children and for the family and caring for pets.

Character:

Alexandra considers herself as sociable, funny, neat and tidy, polite, hard-working, talkative, responsible and warm hearted. She thinks that sometimes she is very independent and wants to do everything opposite to what her Mum is telling her to do.

Driving:

Alexandra has not passed her driving test

Family:

She lives with her Grandfather and her Mother. Her brother is 19 years old and is studying at a university in Bucharest. She has a step sister who is 29 years old and is living in Bucharest too. Her Mother is a buyer.
