Basic Information:

Adriana is a 25 year-old Romanian girl from Oradea a city in the western part of Romania. She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology in 2008. In the 3rd year she went to Portugal with a scholarship and after that she finished her studies there. She works in a shop where she sells paintings.

She wants to be an au pair because she was already abroad and enjoyed the experience. She wants to know UK because she read a lot of things about it. She also likes being around children and she thinks that they like her too.

Adriana likes practising sports like jogging, playing basketball and aerobics. She also enjoys going to the cinema, reading, dancing (she registered for different dance classes) and socialising with friends.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

The first thing she said at the interview is that she likes children a lot and she likes to see them smiling. Every time she looked after children she spent a lot of time playing with them. During the university she worked as a volunteer for children with mental disabilities. She played with them and organised different games that challenged their imagination. She also looked after her cousin’s children aged 5 and 1 year old. She looked after them when their parents were away – this was only occasionally because her cousin lives in a different city. She spent more time with the children when they all went in Italy and when her cousins wanted to visit something, Adriana was always looking after the 5 year old child.

Adriana's English is good; she wants to improve it by attending English classes

Adriana eats almost anything, but she rarely eats sweets. She likes eating vegetables, fruits and soups.

She lives alone in her parents' apartment in Oradea. Her parents and her sister are in Italy since she was 18 years old.
