Adina is a 22 year-old Romanian girl from Stei a town in the westhern part of Romania. She moved in Oradea when she started the University of Chemistry and now she is in her second year. She is unemployed.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children and thinks that being an au pair will offer her better opportunities in England than living in Romania. She wants to quit university and try to attend different classes in the UK. She also wants to get to know the country and how people live there.

Adina likes fishing a lot. She also enjoys listening to music, playing football, going to the cinema, dancing, watching TV, photography and cooking.

She is a non smoker.

Childcare Experience:

Before she went to university, she helped a friend looking after his sons. Her friend’s wife left to Italy and he needed someone to look after his children while he was working. She looked after 2 boys aged 8 and 2 years old. She played with them, woke them up, dressed them, took them to the kindergarten, cooked for them. She also looked after a 1 year old girl during the weekends when her parents left to the countryside. Adina usually took the girl to where she was living so that the girl wouldn’t sleep alone. She supervised the girl not to get hurt when she was playing, she fed her, put her to sleep, etc. She really enjoyed the experience and thinks that she is prepared to look after babies too.

Her parents live in Stei. Her Mum is 51 years old and is a housekeeper; her Father is 57 years old and is retired. Her sister lives in Oradea too and she also wants to be an au pair in the UK. Adina lives with her boyfriend now.
